What do you think is happening in this photo?
Pierre: What? I’m hanging out in my mancat cave under the TV stand.
Pierre: I’ll be out after Monday is over.
Laugh. Learn. Love cats.
Pierre: You learned the basics and Wand Toy 101 and some advanced moves in Wand Toy 201, and I hope you’ve been practicing. Are you ready to really catch some air? Today I’m going to teach Wand Toy 301. That’s where you leap into the air for the wand toy, like this.
Newton: Oh! Oh! I want to try. Here I go!
Ashton: Boys, that was weak. Let a ladycat show you how it’s done.
Newton: I’m watching! I’m going to get it!
Ashton: No, no, you have to wait. Keep watching for just the right moment.
Ashton: And then you leap for it!
Newton: Whoa!
Pierre: I didn’t know you could do that, Ashton.
Newton: I’m never going to catch that much air. I’m outta here.
Ashton: Form is important, not height! The midair twist is one of my favorites.
Ashton: Coming in for a landing!
Pierre: That’s impressive, Ashton!
Newton: * mumble * shown up by a girlcat…
Ashton: Four years ago today, the head peep rescued me from the median of the highway. You may have seen this, the first photo of me, before we even got to the vet’s office.
The resident cats weren’t sure what to make of me when I first got here.
Newton was pretty excited about it, though. I think he hoped I was going to be a new cat toy.
I healed up and started showing my cute.
And I grew up, little by little.
Until I was a confident, adult cat. Well, an adult cat, anyhow.
My favorite thing in the world is treats. Especially chicken.
One of these days, I’m going to have my very own Chicken Emporium. But for now, I just want to thank you for continuing to read about my adventures!
