Chicken Emporium is Open

Ashton: Just a few final touches. My first chicken emporium stand is ready to open! I just need to run to the litter box first.

Newton: I can watch the stand while you take care of business in the litter box, Ash.

Ashton: If you’re sure. No sampling the inventory!

Newton: Sure, whatever you say.

Newton: Did you believe she would ever open this? I didn’t.

Cupcake: What are you doing, Mr. Newton?

Newton: I’m watching Ashton’s new chicken stand.

Cupcake: Chicken! I like chicken!

Newton: You might not want to do that, kid.

Ashton: Hey! No sampling my inventory! What did I tell you, Newton? I have to clean this up! Why don’t you two go wrestle somewhere else?

Ashton: My inventory is a mess! I need to tidy up before more customers get here.

I Scream, You Scream!

Newton: What’s this? Yum!

Pierre: I saw Cupcake come inside with that ice cream, Newton. You should save some for her.

Cupcake: Did I hear my name? HEY! Mr. Newton, I got that ice cream cone for my good behavior today.

Newton: I behaved today.

Cupcake: Let me have a little bit at least.

Cupcake: OK, gotta go.

Pierre: Did you scare Cupcake away by making that face, Newt?

Newton: I didn’t mean to. It’s brain freeze.

Ashton: I want a share, too!

Ashton: Stand back, Newt, I’m going to be sure I get my fair share.

The Great Toast Caper

Ashton: Our human ate toast at her desk today. I got tired of waving for her to pinch pieces of toast off for me and grabbed a slice. This is mine now.

Ashton: Mine.

Newton: Hi, Ash.

Ashton: What are you looking at? Did you never seen toast in the bedroom before?

Newton: That’s a big piece of toast. Can I have some?

Ashton: Mine.

Cupcake: Is that toast? I thought I heard the toaster.

Ashton: Stop looking at my toast.

Newton: Now you know how Pierre feels when you stand next to him while he is eating and give his bowl the eye.

Cupcake: Make her look at you, Mr. Newton, and I’ll just–

Newton: I’ve got it, kid.

Ashton: My toast!

Newton: *lick lick*

Newton: Ugh, that’s dry. Nothing on it.

Cupcake: I can watch it for you while you go to the water bowl.

Misadventures with Ashton

Ashton: I was minding my own business, cuddling into my favorite spot on the sofa when it happened.

Ashton: I was closed in a carrier and off we went to the vet’s office. I remembered this place, and I didn’t like it.

They weighed me and said I had gained half a pound. Does this mean I can’t share English Muffins in the monring any more?

Ashton: It was a long day, and I was so glad to be home. As much as I loved sleeping in my carrier before my vet trip, I won’t do it now. No way. I’m going to sleep here instead.

Ashton: This spot is warm and cozy. And most important, it isn’t going anywhere.
