Pierre Figures Out a Holiday Secret

Pierre: I’m keeping an eye on one of our neighbors. Can you see him?

Pierre_window_alligator_wm

Look more closely! Do you see him in the water?

Pierre_window_alligator_02_wm

That’s our neighbor, Ollie the alligator. Thanks to Claire from The Swiss Cats for helping us name our neighbor.

Alligator in water

We see a lot of Ollie this time of year, going for a swim in the pond or sunbathing on the bank. Sometimes Ollie even does both at once, sunbathing on the bank, snout in the water.

Newton told me that alligators don’t have alligator kittens. They lay eggs instead.

Then it hit me: We see Ollie a lot this time of year. Alligators have eggs. THAT’S WHERE EASTER EGGS COME FROM! The Easter Alligator!

Why am I the only one who has figured this out?

Mancat Face Off

Pierre: You drooled all over the new catnip toy before I could try it.

Newton: So? Why can’t I try it first for once instead of having to play with a soggy toy?

Newton: That old excuse again? That just means you’re slower when I am ready to whap you with my smacky paw of doom.

Pierre: Don’t even think about raising that paw at me, youngster.

Newton: Or else what?

Pierre: Or else … Or else I’ll drool on all of your toys.

Newton: All of my toys?

Pierre: Even the pink ones. ESPECIALLY the pink ones.

Pierre_Newton_smackdown_03_wmNewton: Umm… What are you doing?

Pierre: I have an itch. Hang on a minute.

Pierre: All right, where were we? Something about drooling on pink toys?

Newton: I think we’re done. You’ve had too much catnip. I think you need a nice, long nap.

Sneak Attack Interrupted

Pierre: It’s time to strip the comforter off the bed to do laundry, but I’m not moving. This makes a nice hiding place!

Pierre: Do you hear something? It sounded like paws on the bed!

Pierre: I see you!

Newton: Oh… umm… Hi, Pierre! I didn’t notice you there.

Pierre: Sure you didn’t. You weren’t trying to sneak up on me.

Newton: I wouldn’t do that!

Pierre: Or pounce on me when I wasn’t looking.

Newton: I would NEVER do that. You must be thinking of some other orange cat.

Fortress Interruptus

Ashton: What are you doing, Pierre?

Pierre: I’m hanging out in my fortress of catitude. What does it look like?

Ashton: It kind of looks like a cat carrier.

Pierre: That’s just your imagination because there’s a cat in it: me.

Ashton: This has a lot of zippers. I guess it could be luggage. Are you going on a trip?

Pierre: I’m not going anywhere. I’m contemplating life fine right where I am.

Ashton: Well, I’m not hanging around, just in case it’s a carrier. Or luggage. I don’t need to go where either of those things go.

Pierre: OK, but my fortress of catitude isn’t going anywhere.
