Lazy Day

It’s National Lazy Day. We know you are busy cats and may not be able to think of what to do on a day dedicated to taking a break, so we have five suggestions:

1. Stay in Bed

Why be in a hurry to get out of bed if you’re being lazy? It’s the most comfortable spot in the house, so take a load off and lounge around a bit.

2. Binge Watch TV

A long stretch of time with nothing to do with it? Grab your remote control and binge watch! Just remember that if you let the humans take the remote, you’ll end up watching courtroom dramas or police procedural, so hang on tight to it so you can watch nature shows instead.

3. Skip Your Exercise Workout

Your training for the kitchen-to-bedroom triathlon will wait today. Being lazy means you can put your exercise routine aside today and relax.

4. Read a Good Book

Haven’t you missed having time to lose yourself in a good book? Today is the perfect day for it! If you need a suggestion about a cat book, we have some favorites.

5. Take a Nap

What else would a cat do on a lazy day but take a nap? It’s what we do best!

Chicken Nugget

Pierre: Wow, what’s that doing out there?

Pierre: Ashton, you might want to see this outside the window.

Ashton: * YAWN * See what?

Pierre: It’s a chicken nugget.

Ashton: A WHAT?

Pierre, PA

Pierre: The head peep was sick this week, which is why you haven’t heard as much from us as you normally would. Caring for her is a full time job for us, especially when Nurse Newton falls down on the job. But never fear, Pierre, Physician Assistant, is right there to make sure she gets better.

In case you ever need to take care of your human, too, I thought I would share the most important thing to do: watch your human closely. Every time your human opens her eyes, she should see your face. That always makes humans feel better.

This means you need to follow your human from room to room. I knew the head peep was really sick when she lay on the sofa and watched television. She hardly ever does that. But I was right there to keep a VERY close eye on her.

Taking care of your human is exhausting work. Lucky for me, the head peep was in bed a lot where we could both be comfortable while I watched her.

Thankfully, she is on the mend now. It never would have happened if I hadn’t taken such good care of her. All of that watching was hard work, but it paid off! I’ll be napping extra the rest of the week to make up for the hours I missed while doing my medical duties.dex: 8675309; display: none; cursor: pointer;”>Save

Red Dot Invasion

What big eyes you have, Pierre!

Pierre: This is my hunting face.

I’m hunting the red dot. It came out from under the ottoman and is trying to hide under the pillow on the sofa, but I know it’s there.

So close! I almost got it, but it moves fast.

Come back here, red dot! I’m not done with you!

Fine, run back under the ottoman where you belong, red dot. I can’t blame you for being afraid of a mighty hunter like me.
