Lizard Watch 2018

Newton: What are you looking at, Pierre?

Pierre: Shh, there’s a lizard!

Newton: Inside? Where?

Pierre: No, it’s on the window. Your hunting instincts are about as sharp as that fluffy tail of yours.

Newton: Oh, THAT. I could hardly see it because of all of the nose prints on the glass.

Pierre: That would be more lizard for me to chase, then.

Newton: I don’t think it works that way. If I go away, you still have the same number of lizards to chase: one.

Pierre: But then I’m not sharing that lizard with you. And it’s quieter that way, too.

Cupcake: Hi Mr. Newton. Mr. Pierre. What is quieter?

Pierre: Not this lizard hunt.

Cupcake: There’s a lizard? WERE?

Newton: Calm your tail, kid. I’m going to grab it.

Newton: Where did it go?

Cupcake: You can’t see better from up there?

Pierre: You scared it away, Newt.

Newton: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare it away.

Cupcake: It might come back.

Newton: Cupcake is right. Maybe if we wait it’ll come back.

Pierre: You wait. When the lizard comes back, call me.

Newton: What do you think, should I call him if I see the lizard again?

Straws

Newton: I heard the humans talking about the straws being bad for the world.

Newton: There might even be a time when it’s hard for them to get straws. So this one is mine!

Newton: Straws are the perfect toys! They are fun to grab and bite.

Newton: They are lightweight, so they are easy to steal from the table or counter.

Newton: Plus they make you make very funny faces. The humans can’t resist a cat making funny faces.

Newton: So save the straws. At least save a few of them for me.

Can’t Keep a Cat in the Bag

Newton: I heard that some of you thought on Friday I was a little bit hard on Cupcake when I told her to stay in the bag.

Newton: A handsome mancat just wants some quality time with his toys once in a while. But guess what happened?

Cupcake: This was fun for a while, but I’m bored.

Cupcake: I don’t see any cats coming to play with me.

Cupcake: So I’d better go find some fun or myself.

Cupcake: I found you, Mr. Newton! Let’s wrestle!

Newton: Already, kid?

Newton: And that’s how it goes around here with my tuxedo shadow.

Bag Follies Return

Pierre: Newt, come quick, you have to see this!

Newton: What is it?

Pierre: I think she thinks she’s hiding in there.

Cupcake: I can hear you out there. Isn’t this what you did, Mr. Newton?

Newton: Not really. My paws were inside, not waving around for the world to see. That looks a little embarrassing.

Cupcake: Like this?

Newton: That’s more like it. Now you try to see how long you can stay in there. All the way until you need to visit the litter box.

Cupcake: Thanks! I like knowing how to use the bag like the big cats do.

Newton: Aah, the sweet feeling of an afternoon without being pounced on by a tuxedo terror!
