That final photo is hysterical. Our mom uses stainless steel straws. Phooey! We’ve never really found them interesting, however. Sawyer has just discovered springs. Newton, we don’t have any straws around, but we have plastic spoons! And believe me, any plastic is recycled, because our town picks up recycling! And so does my office. I’d like to find metal straws someplace…

I love playing with straws but you can buy the new ecologically friendly ones on Amazon. another thing dumping millions of gallons of plastic in oceans is disposable contact lenses that are flushed down the toilet. I wonder if humans will get rid of them.
