Pierre: Tell me when the Monday part is over so I can look.
The Cat TV Report
Pierre: There’s been a lot of action on cat TV recently, so I thought I’d bring you up to date on what I’ve been watching. Right now, I’m watching the spillover of the Great Pigeon Invasion of 2015 at the neighbor’s bird feeder.
The sand hill cranes didn’t appreciate the Great Pigeon Invasion of 2015 in the bird feeder either.
I’m pretty sure the pigeon got the message loud and clear!
The sand hill celebrated their victory over the pigeons.
Did you notice something in the background of the photo of the sand hill cranes? Let’s take a closer look.
It’s spring, a time when some of our scarier-looking cat TV visitors make an appearance. This guy is a regular visitor in the spring, but he is always disappointed because no lady alligators live around here.
It’s also the time of year when one of our other regular visitors does a lot of showing off.
There was a ladyturkey on the other side of the pond ignoring this guy’s impressive display. Better luck next time, buddy.
It’s also kitten season… for birds, too. Our local family of ducks is growing up. It’s amazing how fast they get to be almost as big as their parents. It seems like only yesterday that they were yellow and fuzzy.
That’s the news from cat TV for now. I’ll keep watching, and I’ll bring you updates again soon!
Chicks: Outtake Edition
Pierre: What’s going on here? It looks like these chicks are waiting patiently for something. Ashton, did you forget that you were going to give your chicks a motivational speech?
Maybe not that one. What about this one?
Do the pink ones taste different?
No, they taste just like the yellow ones. I think. Let me try this one to be sure.
Newton: Hmm?
Ashton: What have you DONE?
Ashton: I can see the telltale signs. Netwzilla was here.

Did you see the rest of Ashton’s chicken capers? If not, you can catch up on her adventures.
Newton in Ink
Don’t worry, Newton hasn’t actually gotten into ink, although that wouldn’t be surprising. Instead, it’s a drawing of Newton.
This wonderful drawing was created by Thomas at One Drawing Daily. Thomas has challenged himself to draw at least one thing a day for two years, and he is documenting the whole process on his blog. If you are interested in having your cat or other pet drawn, he is collecting requests from which he draws randomly each day.
Big thank you to Thomas for this drawing of Newton! We’ll be watching as he continues to expand his skills by drawing every day.
UPDATE: If you want more than a sketch, Thomas is now using his considerable talent to offer pet portraits as commissions, too!
