Pierre: This dangling toy thinks it can outsmart me into jumping up after it, but if I wait long enough….
* UNNNNGH * A little closer, dragonfly. Please?
Laugh. Learn. Love cats.
Newton: It’s my friend the three-ended tunnel. I’m going in.
Pierre: Wait a second, Newt, I think you’ve got a little cat litter klingon here.
Newton: I do? Where? I don’t see anything on my beautiful tail.
Pierre: You fell for the old klingon line again? You’re so easy, Newt.
Newton: Huh, we’ll see who messes with me with klingon jokes now. I’m going to wait right here and when he walks past, I’ll be ready to pounce.
Newton: Whoa!
Pierre: I showed him! And for my next trick, watch how extra-long I am.
Pierre: Newton? You missed my trick. Newt? Where’d you go? You would think he would have a little more sense of humor than that.
Pierre: Look what came in the mail to Ashton from our friends at 15 and Meowing…. chicken legs for Ashton’s Chicken Emporium.
The best part is that Ashton doesn’t know about this because I intercepted her mail, so this delicious chicken is all mine to taste!
There’s nothing like having some alone time with your favorite white meat…
Pierre: Oops, so much for that alone time thing. Oh, hi, Newton!
Newton: This is a stick up. Hand over the chicken and nokitty has to get hurt.
Pierre: If you leave me and my chicken leg alone, nobody has to get hurt, either.
Newton: Now who has the chicken? He’s big and orange and has four paws.
These handmade chicken legs are clearly a big hit. Don’t worry, Ashton will get her turn for her chicken emporium, too. She just prefers to play with toys when nokitty is watching. Thanks, Ellen and the kitties of 15 and Meowing for the amazing chicken legs!
Did you miss some of our chicken capers? You can catch up any time!
Limerick Day is every May 12, in honor of Edward Lear, who popularized the form of poem.
Ashton: To celebrate, I wrote my very own limerick for the first time!
There once was a kitty name Ashton
Who found chicken such a distraction.
She would eat it all day
if she had her way
so she’s on a very strict ration.
Are you writing a limerick for Limerick Day, too?
