Our friend Sparkle the Designer Cat was one in a million. In addition to having a wit sharper than her claws, Sparkle gave us great advice that has helped us to be better cats. Another lasting legacy she left was her tireless work to champion cats who were less fortunate than herself.
One of the causes Sparkle often donated to when trying to help the less-fortunate kitties was Tabby’s Place, a very special cage-free sanctuary that gives refuge to cats in hopeless situations. Chronically ill, older, and handicapped cats that would otherwise be considered unadoptable at other shelters have a place to live in safety and comfort for the rest of their lives at Tabby’s Place.
Today, there is a memorial commentathon at Sparkle’s blog. If you don’t have time to visit any other blogs today, be sure to stop by there and pay your respects to one of the icons of the blogosphere.
To honor Sparkle and the cause she supported, we are also holding a commentathon. We will donate $1 for each comment here today through midnight to Tabby’s Place, too. We know that there are other blogs around the blogosphere also participating in commantathons for Tabby’s Place in Sparkle’s memory, and we hope that the funds raised will help many less-fortunate kitties the way that Sparkle always wished.
Sparkle, we won’t ever forget you, and we’re going to try to follow in your paw prints both of helping less fortunate kitties. And also, of course, world cat domination.
