Adorable Adoptable: Shadow in Orlando, Florida
Shadow is a handsome, young house panther. Just a year old, his human family had to move away. Instead of leaving him on the street, they took him to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, where he is relaxing and playing while he waits for you to discover him.
Like a swashbuckling pirate, Shadow is missing his right eye. But he doesn’t wear an eye patch. And the missing eye doesn’t slow him down. We don’t know how he lost the eye, but he is fully adapted to the way it has changed his depth perception, playing with toys like a kitten and jumping up and down from things with ease. He loves people and will seek your attention, and at just a year old, he enough kitten in him to make him really playful and fun.
He is good with other cats, and is spending time in the cage-free community cat room of the shelter with several other cats.
Shadow arrived at Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando with another cat who has already been adopted out to a forever home, but his fur color and his missing eye are two strikes against him, making it harder for him to win over a potential forever family. Are you the family he has been hoping for? If so, contact the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando in Florida for more information about this sweet, playful boy.
Happy Labor Day
Ashton: Did you hear that? Someone said it was Labor Day.
Clearly, these people don’t understand how it works. Cats don’t labor.
This is how cats labor: Bring me my treats, peeps! And I expect them peeled!
We hope all of you who are celebrating today have a wonderful Labor Day, with your humans tending to your every day… just like you deserve every day!
Commentathon Results
Newton: It’s a bonus holiday weekend post from us, because we wanted to share information with you about the results of yesterday’s commentathon for Tabby’s Place in Sparkle’s memory. We had comments to match at $1 each.
Pierre: We can do better than that! We can find some more money to round it up. I’ll check in the pockets of the clothes in the laundry basket.
Ashton: And I looked under the sofa cushions. You wouldn’t believe the change that people lose down there.
Newton: I found some money, too. But I’m not telling where I got this.
Pierre: NEWTON! Where did you get that?!
Newton: Don’t ask.
Pierre: *sigh* Then just count to see how much money we have to add to the donation.
Ashton: I’ll count! One…. two…. three… four… did I just hear the refrigerator? It’s snack time! Sorry, gotta go.
Newton: It we found enough change under the sofa cushions and in the laundry basket to round the commentathon donation up to $40, so that’s what we are donating to Tabby’s Place in Sparkle’s memory. Thanks to everyone for participating in our first ever commentahon to benefit the kitties at Tabby’s Place and memorialize Sparkle!
