Catnip Chicken

Pierre: Look what came in the mail to Ashton from our friends at 15 and Meowing…. chicken legs for Ashton’s Chicken Emporium.

The best part is that Ashton doesn’t know about this because I intercepted her mail, so this delicious chicken is all mine to taste!

There’s nothing like having some alone time with your favorite white meat…

Pierre: Oops, so much for that alone time thing. Oh, hi, Newton!

Newton: This is a stick up. Hand over the chicken and nokitty has to get hurt.

Pierre: If you leave me and my chicken leg alone, nobody has to get hurt, either.

Newton: Now who has the chicken? He’s big and orange and has four paws.

Newton: Yum!

These handmade chicken legs are clearly a big hit. Don’t worry, Ashton will get her turn for her chicken emporium, too. She just prefers to play with toys when nokitty is watching. Thanks, Ellen and the kitties of 15 and Meowing for the amazing chicken legs!

Pierre: You have tuna breath, Newton.

Newton: Well you have a little cat litter right here.

Pierre: What are you DOING?

Newton: Let me just get that for you….

Pierre: Did you just TOUCH me?

Newton: Yeah, but I was just getting the litter from your head.

Pierre: If you do that again, you’ll be wishing you had cat litter on your head.

Newton: Fine. See if I offer to help you again. You can just look dirty for all the ladycats.

Pierre: I can handle the ladycats just fine. You keep walking, orange boy.

Newton: I’m going, I’m going…

The Cat TV Report

Pierre: There’s been a lot of action on cat TV recently, so I thought I’d bring you up to date on what I’ve been watching. Right now, I’m watching the spillover of the Great Pigeon Invasion of 2015 at the neighbor’s bird feeder.

The sand hill cranes didn’t appreciate the Great Pigeon Invasion of 2015 in the bird feeder either.

I’m pretty sure the pigeon got the message loud and clear!

The sand hill celebrated their victory over the pigeons.

Did you notice something in the background of the photo of the sand hill cranes? Let’s take a closer look.

It’s spring, a time when some of our scarier-looking cat TV visitors make an appearance. This guy is a regular visitor in the spring, but he is always disappointed because no lady alligators live around here.

It’s also the time of year when one of our other regular visitors does a lot of showing off.

There was a ladyturkey on the other side of the pond ignoring this guy’s impressive display. Better luck next time, buddy.

It’s also kitten season… for birds, too. Our local family of ducks is growing up. It’s amazing how fast they get to be almost as big as their parents. It seems like only yesterday that they were yellow and fuzzy.
