Newton’s Tummy Obsession

Cupcake: You aren’t going to touch my tummy, Mr. Newton!

Newton: You wanna bet, kid? I can see all that soft white fur, and my paw is on its way to tummyland now.

Pierre: What’s all that racket?

Pierre: What does a cat have to do for some peace and quiet around here?

Cupcake: Sorry, Mr. Pierre.

Pierre: I’m going to hide in the closet laundry basket. You two keep it down.

Cupcake: * WHACK * Gotcha while you were looking at Pierre!

Newton: Oh, kid, now you really did it.

Cupcake: Not if I have anything to say about it!

Pierre’s Hiding Place

Newton: What are you doing under there, Pierre?

Pierre: You aren’t supposed to be able to see me.

Pierre: If you don’t want me to be able to see you, maybe you shouldn’t hang out like that.

Pierre: It’s not polite to look at my rear end.

Newton: But that’s the only part hanging out.

Newton: Don’t hang it out if you don’t want it looked at.

Pierre: If you’re still there looking when I count to three, Newt, I’m going to come out and show you something worth looking at. 1… 2…

Newton: Okay, okay. I’m going. But I still think you should cover that end up. It will get cold tonight.

Chilly Weather

The weather turned cold this weekend in most of the United States, and that includes here in Florida. Cupcake was not amused.

We tried to go to the coffee shop, but it was too cold for civilized cats, even cats wearing sporty jackets.

It was so cold that she didn’t even really appreciate the work of art that the barista drew for her. How cute is the little paw print instead of a simple X?

Cupcake couldn’t wait to make her way back into my lap and under a blanket.

So most of our outings were indoors. We explored the holiday shop in a local hardware store. do you think Cup can drive this truck?

She also made some strange-looking friends. How do they see out from under there?

We are lucky that cold snaps never last in Florida, and it should be warmer next weekend. Until then, we’re staying indoors where it’s warm and out of the wind!

Were you able to stay warm this past weekend?

Preparing for Secret Paws

Newton: Have you seen Pierre? I wrapped all of these gifts for our Secret Paw friend, and he is supposed to be finding a box to ship them in so they arrive in time for the holiday.

Secret Paw is like the Secret Santa gift exchange that humans do, but it happens among cats who have blogs.

Pierre: Newton where are you? I found a box!

Newton: This doesn’t look like it’s going to fit in this box. Can you find another one?

Pierre: I sat in the other boxes, and I kind of like them. I don’t want to send them away.

Newton: Do I have to do everything myself?
