Words for Wednesday: Chicken Emporium

Ashton: I loved all of the name suggestions that you had for my chicken restaurant! After a lot of thought, I decided it’s going to be called Ashton’s Chicken Emporium.

Thanks so much to Clooney for the help thinking it up. I can’t wait to get started taste testing!

The Irresistible Straw

Newton: We don’t get straws to play with very often, but we had an unfortunate Straw Incident where a whole box of drinking straws fell out of the pantry onto the floor. Instant cat party!

I especially love the little sound the straw makes when I whack it with my paw.

That’s it, no more mister nice Newton for you, straw. I’m going in for the kill!

Reaching New Heights the Ashton Way

Ashton: You have seen lots of photos of me on the cat tree, but do you know how I get up there? Sure, you kitties might jump, but I don’t like to jump anywhere. So here’s my method: First, I climb up the cat tree a little.

When I’m high enough, I fling myself sideways.

Then I slide across onto the platform. Success… and a sunny spot to lounge in, too!

Ashton_climbing_cat_Tree_03_wmDo you have a funny way of getting up onto furniture at your house?

Newton’s Gotcha Day

Newton: I came home for the first time on January 3, 2009. I was the cutest kitten EVER. And possibly the naughtiest.

Newton-02-1-3-2009_wmEver since then, I’ve spent most of my time thinking about trouble.

Newton_is_kilroy_wm Or acting innocent about trouble that I was already in.

Newton-and-the-Whipped-Cream-Face_wm Though sometimes I just chill out and take it easy. I like to take it easy with my ends going opposite directions. Why do the humans think that’s so funny?

Newton-in-the-Window_wm So if you’ll excuse me, I think I need to go pounce on Ashton now, and then I’ll pretend Pierre did it. That won’t prevent me getting my special gotcha day dinner, will it?
