This happens around our house all the time, but Cupcake and Newton are really camera-shy about letting the humans get any good footage of it. Cupcake thought the head peep had fallen asleep, so she took advantage of the opportunity to pester Newton. The video above skips past the two minutes of her poking Newton before the action started.
Cupcake: What’s this, Mr. Newton?
Newton: It’s the centerpiece for the table for Memorial Day.
Cupcake: I thought the centerpiece for the table was grilled chicken. Ashton promised to show me how to get some.
Newton: That’s a main dish, not a centerpiece. A centerpiece sits in the middle of the table and looks nice.
Cupcake: I can sit in the middle of the table and look nice. Hey, this is kind of fun!
Newton: Be careful, kid, don’t —
Cupcake: Ugh, I hope there’s chicken, too. That tastes awful.

Newton: Take THAT, cupcake toy!
Cupcake: Oh, little cupcake, are you all right?
Cupcake: Mr. Pierre, can you help? Mr. Newton is being mean to my cupcake toy.
Pierre: Of course. I’ll take care of it.
Pierre: Is she gone?
Newton: I think so.
Pierre: Now the fun really begins!
Newton: How come I don’t get to play with it? I’m the reason she left!
