Memorial Day Table

Cupcake: What’s this, Mr. Newton?

Newton: It’s the centerpiece for the table for Memorial Day.

Cupcake: I thought the centerpiece for the table was grilled chicken. Ashton promised to show me how to get some.

Newton: That’s a main dish, not a centerpiece. A centerpiece sits in the middle of the table and looks nice.

Cupcake: I can sit in the middle of the table and look nice. Hey, this is kind of fun!

Newton: Be careful, kid, don’t —

Cupcake: Ugh, I hope there’s chicken, too. That tastes awful.

Wishing a safe and happy Memorial Day to all of our friends celebrating today.

(Please don’t eat your centerpieces.)

We think you’d make a cuter centerpiece, Cupcake! Hope you all scored some chicken 🙂

Those look like they’d be fun to smack around but not to eat. Cupcakes make wonderful centerpieces, as would fig Newtons.

We all have to learn our lessons the hard way. It’s not enough to be told (they might be tricking us to have it all to themselves) … we just have to find out for ourselves!
