The Treat Dispenser that Wouldn’t

Pierre: Oh, that smells good!

Newton: Don’t worry, I’ve got this. Those treats will be out of there in no time.

Pierre: Go! Go! Go! I don’t see any treats falling out yet.

Newton: Give me a minute here. It’s going to happen: treats everywhere.

Ashton: Did someone say treats everywhere?

Pierre: Newt is going to get the treats out of the dispensing ball for us. He’s being a little slow about it, though.

Newton: I don’t see YOU being a lot of help. Why don’t you go watch a bird or something? I’ll tell you when it’s ready.

Ashton: You can’t fool me. I’m keeping my eye on you and those treats. I can smell them all the way over here.

Newton: You’re supposed to be on a diet, remember? I’m pretty sure that Cat Watchers says you can’t eat treats between meals.

Pierre: Did you get a treat out? Are you eating without sharing? Newton!

Ashton: I’m watching. He’s just faking it.

Pierre: Faking treats?

Newton: It’s so embarrassing to not be able to get any treats out of there. Something must be wrong with this toy. One of you can try it.

It’s true! We finally found a treat dispensing toy Newton couldn’t immediately conquer. He actually gave up without getting any treats out of it, much to Ashton and Pierre’s frustration, since Newton is the designated dispenser operator. We have shown photos in the past of how he has gone as far as breaking open treat dispensing toys to get at their contents, so the humans are pretty excited about this find, even if the cats would like something with easier treat access.

Scheduling Notes

Newton: Uh-oh. There’s a problem with this new Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule for our blog.

Ashton: What are you interrupting my nap for now?

Newton: Come look at this, Ash. What will to happen to Topical Thursdays?

Ashton: Oh, I see. Well, they just have to go a different day. Like Mondays.

Newton: They can’t be that day. I am going to have Macho Mancat Mondays, no girlcats allowed! And all that talk about medical things is not macho at all.

Ashton: I’m putting my paw down on that one. We are NOT having Macho Mancat Mondays, with or without girlcats allowed. You and Pierre aren’t taking over. Besides, neither of you is very macho.

Our schedule is changing a little, but don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere. We’ll be publishing our topical posts about cat health and rescue on Mondays now instead of Thursdays. We will also be here on Wednesdays and Fridays with more of our adventures. We have lots to share with you, so stay tuned!

The Mouse Under the Thing

Pierre: Look what came out of the closet! It’s the mouse that lives under the thing!

Newton: Whoa! That’s scarier than the mouse that lives under the comforter of the bed.

Pierre: Scarier, are you kidding? This is great!

Newton: You can have it. I don’t trust that thing.

Pierre: I don’t get it. Newton was standing over here, and it’s no scarier over here than it was over there. I’m going to get you, bad mouse!

There is a delectable program on the Cat TV.
