Trackball Games

Cupcake: The trackball toy is on the table. This is fun!

Newton: That looks dangerous.

Cupcake: Hi, Mr. Newton. It’s OK. I’m a grownup cat now, so I can be up on the table in the sunroom.

Newton: You might be full-grown, but you aren’t grown up. Trust me, kid. It’s really looking dangerous.

Cupcake: The ball won’t come back. Can you push it back to me?

Newton: Not to say I told you so or anything.

Cupcake: Uh-oh.

Newton. Wait? Are you crazy?

Being Thankful

Pierre: Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. That means it’s time to start thinking about what you’re thankful for so you’re ready to tell the humans tomorrow.

Cupcake: Is that the food holiday? I like that one.

Pierre: Yes, it’s the food holiday. Like you don’t treat dinnertime every night like a food holiday. What are you thankful for, Cup?

Cupcake: I’m thankful for being able to go out and make friends everywhere. Especially the baristas who give me whipped cream.

Newton: I’m thankful when Cupcake goes out and she isn’t pouncing on us. Those are the best naps.

Pierre: Newt! That isn’t what I meant by what you’re thankful for.

Newton: Well, it’s true.

Pierre: * sigh * Ashton, what about you? What are you thankful for?

Ashton: I’m thankful for chicken. But tomorrow, I will be thankful for be turkey.

Pierre: We all will.

Pierre: We’re also thankful for every one of you, our readers and friends. Thank you for sharing our laughter and for learning with us. And if your family celebrates it, happy Thanksgiving!

Bag Games

Newton: What — you’re knocking that bag over!

Ashton: Isn’t it great, Mr. Newton?

Newton: It’s a nice bag, but I don’t know if I would call it great. It isn’t full of chicken or anything.

Cupcake: It’s great because it’s easy to get into now.

Newton: You don’t seem to be having an easy time getting into it. You’re just waving your paws at it.

Cupcake: I always do this before I go in. Just in case there are other cats inside.

Newton: If there were other cats inside, wouldn’t they have fallen out when you tipped the bag over? Don’t answer that. Just let me know if you find other cats in there.

Cupcake: I’m looking. Nope, not other cats here but you. And me.

Newton: There are days I don’t know if you count as a cat or a dog.

Cupcake: No dogs in here, either.

Newton: Never mind, Cupcake. Just… never mind.

When Wand Toys Attack

Cupcake: Hi, Mr. Pierre. What are you playing with?

Pierre: It’s the wand toy. You don’t want to play with this.

Cupcake: Why wouldn’t I want to play with it?

Pierre: This is too dangerous for a young cat like you.

Pierre: Look how dangerous it is. It’s attacking me!

Cupcake: Do you need me to rescue you?

Pierre: Stay back for your own protection!

Pierre: Save yourself! I’ll hold this here while you run to safety!

Cupcake: Thanks, Mr. Pierre.

Pierre: Did it work? Is she gone?

Cupcake: I HEARD THAT!
