Has it really been five years since Ashton joined our family. She has grown from a tiny kitten mistaken for debris in the highway median into a big kitty full of personality.
So today’s outtakes are some random photos that didn’t quite make the cut and all feature Ashton. The first one doesn’t exactly show the end of her that most people want to see.
Ashton actually spends quite a bit of time next to the back door like that, sniffing the air that seeps in from the wild. Maybe it’s the next best thing to having access to the screened front porch, or maybe she knows how many lizards live right outside.
The next photo is an outtake because of human error.
If the head peep would have aimed the camera a little higher, this photo might have been a keeper, but cutting off the tips of Ashton’s ears while leaving lots of space at the bottom of the photo? Good help is hard to find.
Then there’s the classic photobomb.
Ashton, don’t look now, but there’s a huge bird behind you.
This photo was disappointing because Ashton’s face was out of focus.
She looks impressively large in her floof suit, doesn’t she?
The last photo makes Ashton look heavier than she actually is, and the light wasn’t good, either.
It’s fun to see her sit like this, though. She sits on the edge of the head peep’s desk like this every night, looking hopeful for bedtime treats as the head peep tries to work.
Speaking of treats, it’s Ashton’s gotcha day, so for today, her diet is relaxed and she is getting extra treats. So we had better get to that. Have a great weekend, everybody!
