The Cupcake Cruiser

Newton: This is new.

Cupcake: The humans said it was my holiday present a little bit early.

Cupcake: I like presents, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with this one. You can’t eat it. Or play with it. What good is it?

Newton: I think you must have misunderstood what they were saying. This is obviously for me.

Cupcake: It’s okay, Mr. Newton. I have my cupcake, so you can sleep in the cruiser.

Teaching Wand Toy Moves

Newton: This is one tempting wand toy.

Cupcake: The one you stole from me?

Newton: That’s because you aren’t a mighty hunter like me. I can show you how.

Cupcake: OK, Mr. Newton.

Newton: First you give a big roar to scare it. Can you roar?

Cupcake: I can try.

Newton: Then you use your mighty talons to grab it. Like this.

Cupcake: Mighty talons. OK.

Newton: Then you bite it! And make sure no matter how hard it struggles, you don’t let go.

Cupcake: That looks like the way the humans clean between their teeth.

Newton: Cleaning my teeth?

Newton: Do you see what I go through?

Trackball Games

Cupcake: The trackball toy is on the table. This is fun!

Newton: That looks dangerous.

Cupcake: Hi, Mr. Newton. It’s OK. I’m a grownup cat now, so I can be up on the table in the sunroom.

Newton: You might be full-grown, but you aren’t grown up. Trust me, kid. It’s really looking dangerous.

Cupcake: The ball won’t come back. Can you push it back to me?

Newton: Not to say I told you so or anything.

Cupcake: Uh-oh.

Newton: I’m so outta here.

Newton. Wait? Are you crazy?

Cupcake: Now we get to play chase! This is a fun game, too!

Being Thankful

Pierre: Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. That means it’s time to start thinking about what you’re thankful for so you’re ready to tell the humans tomorrow.

Cupcake: Is that the food holiday? I like that one.

black and white tuxedo cat

Pierre: Yes, it’s the food holiday. Like you don’t treat dinnertime every night like a food holiday. What are you thankful for, Cup?

Cupcake: I’m thankful for being able to go out and make friends everywhere. Especially the baristas who give me whipped cream.

Newton: I’m thankful when Cupcake goes out and she isn’t pouncing on us. Those are the best naps.

Pierre: Newt! That isn’t what I meant by what you’re thankful for.

Newton: Well, it’s true.

Pierre: * sigh * Ashton, what about you? What are you thankful for?

Ashton: I’m thankful for chicken. But tomorrow, I will be thankful for be turkey.

Pierre: We all will.

Pierre: We’re also thankful for every one of you, our readers and friends. Thank you for sharing our laughter and for learning with us. And if your family celebrates it, happy Thanksgiving!
