Kissing Booth Capers

Pierre: There’s a kissing booth in the house. Do you think I should?

Ashton: What are YOU doing in there, Pierre?

Pierre: What does it looks like?

Ashton: I don’t think so. Not until you use chicken-flavored mouthwash.

Pierre: They make chicken flavored mouthwash?

Mystery Object

Ashton: What’s this?

Newton: It looks like a box.

Ashton: It says “Kissing Booth.”

Newton: That sounds like it could be fun.

Ashton: I could kiss some chicken. Is there any of that in here?

Newton: Ash, I don’t think that’s how a kissing booth works.

Cat and Mouse: Behind the Scenes

Our Valentine’s Day post on Monday featured Newton receiving a mouse in the mail. Some of our friends have asked how we take our photos, so we’re sharing a little bit of what happened behind the scenes the day we shot the photos you saw on Monday.

None of the cats were very interested in the mouse by itself. That meant if anyone was going to look intrigued by the mouse in the mailbox, he was going to need some help, in the form of a little freeze-dried chicken.

That certainly got someone’s attention!

The other thing that needed to be adjusted was the table we started with was all wrong for the project. It was too for cats to easily access, but too small to provide space for a cat and a mouse-laden mailbox.

Once the mailbox was at cat eye-level, the real challenge was taking photos before Ashton realized there were treats hiding the mailbox. Once she did, she wasn’t interested in sharing.

Ashton: Hey, outta there, Pierre!

Ashton: I KNEW I smelled chicken! Why does it have to be so far in here?

Ashton: OOPS!

Newton: The mouse is over here.

Ashton: You can have him. I’ve got my eye on the real prize.

Ashton: A girlcat has to have her priorities, am I right?
