Happy New Year

Ashton: We aren’t wild party cats around here. Well, maybe Newton. I’m not a wild party cat. So I wasn’t wearing a lampshade or anything to celebrate new year’s last night.

(Let’s face it. When cats have to wear lampshades, it’s usually bad news, so that’s really a thing we let the peeps wear.)

But I did want to pause and wish our friends around the blogosphere a happy new year! We hope it’s a year you can have great adventures and make happy memories.

Oh… and one other thing. Did you see who was the January 1 calendar boy on the Cats of the Cat Blogosphere calendar? It’s Mr. Jinx from Manx Mnews. Happy new year to me!

I’m going to save that page of the calendar under the cushion of my cat bed so I can bring it out and gaze at it when nobody is looking. Big winks to my Mr. Jinx!

Redecorating for the New Year

Pierre: What’s that up there?

Pierre is looking Up 02

Newton: It’s our new logo. It shows me jumping down gracefully from the words of our blog name.

Pierre: You haven’t jumped gracefully a day in your life. Besides, the tail isn’t poofy enough to be you. It must show an image of me. I’m oldest, after all, and I should be the official image of the blog.

Newton: But I’m more energetic! I jump up on and down from things!

Pierre: And you’re more likely to knock things over. Maybe it does show you after all.

Big thanks to Glogirly at  Glogirly Design for her help designing our new logo. It’s a great way to freshen up our look for the new year!

Mancat Monday: Hangin’ Out with Cousin Shep

We haven’t seen Cousin Shep in a while, so we thought we would drop by for a visit.

Oh, excuse us!

Shep in the sink

We didn’t mean to interrupt you, Cousin Shep. We’ll leave that tap turned off.

Easy Like Sunday

Ashton: We’re going to take it very easy today.  The head peep went to an out of town wedding yesterday night and our Aunt Orvis had to come in to give us dinner. We gave her this look so that she knew how neglected we are.

She got in so late last night, we think she might nap all day, which would be all right with us. If we can have a sunny spot like this one, we’ll nap all day, too.

Until treat time, I’m going to stay camouflaged right here in the sunny stripes for easy Sunday!
