Our friends at Chewy.com offered us the opportunity to review Dream Treats from Wysong, and we never say no to trying treats!
These treats have no starches, and are made from 95% raw quail meat using their proprietary no-heat manufacturing process. We aren’t sure how you can make something like this without heat, but we like the idea of them being species-appropriate.
We were surprised to see how large they were when we opened them. These are for dogs, cats, or ferrets, so they must have decided to go with dog size. When we looked down into the bag, they were big disks instead of regular cat-sized treats. (What, you don’t gaze down into your cat treat bags?)
Well, let’s just get a better look at one of these disks.
Ashton: Mine!
Pierre: How rude.
This might be the point at which the review went off the rails a little bit. Ashton growled and made off with her stolen treat, with Pierre and Newton in anxious pursuit.
Ashton: Mine!
Some of the oversized freeze-dried treats we have tried in the past would have been choking hazards at this size, but the Wysong treat disks break fairly easy. Ashton managed to snap hers roughly in half and leave some behind as a decoy.
Pierre: *sighs* I don’t understand why her poor manners get rewarded like this. I was good, and I’m getting leftovers.
Ashton: Mine!
Newton: Hey, Ashton! Whatcha got? Pierre had some. Can I have some, too?
Ashton: Mine!
The disks are easy to crumble into more reasonable cat bite-sized pieces.
Newton: It’s about time!
Ashton: Hey, that’s–
Newton: Yeah, we know, Ash. Mine!
As you can see, these were a huge hit. All three cats loved them, especially Ashton. The only drawback to them is that they aren’t bite-sized, and they crumble into a bit of a powdery mess when you break them up. This isn’t a deal-breaker, but they aren’t the kind of thing you can keep on hand in a canister for immediate sharing. But other than that, they’re great, tasty treats, and we give them six paws up!
FTC Disclosure: We received these treats for free from Chewy.com, but our opinions are our own.

You guys are so cute and funny! The treats sound good, at least you have to chew them and not gobble up whole. Plus I’ve never heard of quail for treats. Sounds very gormeay. i think i spelled that wrong!

We love how Ashton grabbed the disc and didn’t waste time nomming it. Cute!

If you gotta fight Ashton for the treats, they must be good! We’ll give them a try.
Brian Frum says
Those do sound good and someone should make pill pocket things in that flavor!

Personally, I think I’d rather have quail as a pet rather than food!
Cathy Keisha says
I don’t care if they are quail, I wouldn’t like them. They have a couple of strikes against them: they’re HUGE, they’re soft and they’re NOT Greenies SmartBites.
Oui Oui says
We are so glad you liked them! We are doing our review on them soon, and we sent them to our ferret cousins to get their opinions. The size really surprised us too!

Dad is still trying to figure out how to get out homemade chicken treats to not crumble and leave bits. We are good about being little vacuums but… MOL. These sound purrty good.
