Cupcake, Thrifty Shopper

Cupcake: The humans tell me that this local store that I love is going out of business. They say that means my friends who work here won’t be here any more to be excited to see me. That makes me sad.

Cupcake: It also means the humans can afford to buy me more things, because they are on sale!

Cupcake: I like this one. What do you mean you didn’t really want a bed in this pattern?

Cupcake: Put me on the checkout counter and pay the nice lady so I can take my new treasure home.

Cupcake: I’m pretty comfortable in here, thanks. Do I really have to get out and into my carrier to go home?

Cupcake: Mr. Newton! 

Newton: What, kid?

Cupcake: Mr. Newton!

Newton: WHAT?

This happens around our house all the time, but Cupcake and Newton are really camera-shy about letting the humans get any good footage of it. Cupcake thought the head peep had fallen asleep, so she took advantage of the opportunity to pester Newton. The video above skips past the two minutes of her poking Newton before the action started.

Memorial Day Table

Cupcake: What’s this, Mr. Newton?

Newton: It’s the centerpiece for the table for Memorial Day.

Cupcake: I thought the centerpiece for the table was grilled chicken. Ashton promised to show me how to get some. 

Newton: That’s a main dish, not a centerpiece. A centerpiece sits in the middle of the table and looks nice.

Cupcake: I can sit in the middle of the table and look nice. Hey, this is kind of fun! 

Newton: Be careful, kid, don’t —

Cupcake: Ugh, I hope there’s chicken, too. That tastes awful.
