Mancat Monday with Cousins Shep and Earl

We haven’t seen Cousins Shep and Earl in a while, so we stopped in to visit. They just got a new toy. Both of them can hear something rustling around under there. Do you think it’s a mousey?

Cousin Earl will take one for the team and peek under.

Cousin Shep: I just can’t seem to get hold of it.

Cousin Earl: Excuse me! This is my side of the toy.

Cousin Shep: I’ll have to console myself with a catnip banana, then…

We are on temporary commenting hiatus until the head peep fills the word thermometer for NaNoWriMo. She’s was so slow this past weekend that we could have typed faster. Maybe we should be dictating this thing to her. What do you think?

We are running mostly prescheduled posts, but we are trying to keep up with everybody’s news. We miss commenting on your blogs, and we promise we will be back to visit all of our friends again soon!

Mancat Monday with the Cousins

We haven’t checked in with our cousins in a couple weeks, so we thought we would find out how they are doing for mancat Monday.

Cousin Earl looks like he has found a great spot to watch his peeps go by.

And look! Cousins Earl and Shep have started to snuggle. We think that when it gets to be cooler weather, they will snuggle even more.

There’s nothing quite as cute as a couple of snuggly mancats! We’re going to tiptoe out so we don’t wake them. We hope that all of you have a great mancat Monday!

Labor Day Mancat Monday with Cousin Shep

Happy Labor Day to those of you who are celebrating it today!

Cousin Shep has been part of the extended family for two and a half months, and he has settled right in. One of his favorite activities is hanging out by the cat TV.

He never knows when his friend the lizard will arrive on the windowsill to play, and it’s important to be ready!

Cousin Shep hasn’t quite figured out how to reach his little friend, but he keeps trying.

Surely there’s a way to let the little guy in to play a game of tag around here somewhere…

Mancat Monday with the Cousins

Cousins Shep and Earl got a new toy. Well, actually, we got a new toy, but when we didn’t like it, we graciously gave it to our cousins. Don’t tell them it was a hand-me-down! The new toy is a ball that makes all kinds of sound effects when you move it.

Shep: Listen to this thing!

Earl: It’s meowing. Is there a cat in the ball?

Earl: You aren’t playing with it. When is my turn to play?

Shep: Later. Maybe after the peep goes to bed. She would love these sound effects while she’s trying to sleep.

Shep: I’m going to lay here and practice moving it around so I can make the most noise with the least effort.

Shep: What do you mean, we can’t keep it past bedtime?

In other cousin news, they have a new window perch. We were skeptical that suction cups could support a mancat of Cousin Shep’s size, but it works really well, and now he has a comfy view of the bird TV.
