Pierre: What’s this?
Newton: It’s a package for me from Annabelle at ManxMnews. What a big surprise! I never knew she was sweet on me.
Pierre: I don’t think so. It says “to Newton, Pierre, and Ashton.” They’re our secret paw this year! They must have drawn our names in the gift exchange.
Newton: Don’t you mean drawn my name? My name comes first, so this package is obviously for me.
Pierre: Holy CAT, look at all of this.
Newton: Do I smell catnip?
Pierre: Here, Newt. You can have this one.
Newton: Stop being so pushy. You didn’t even ask if that was the one I wanted. Besides, why do I only get one? My name was first on the mailing label.
Pierre: You really aren’t going to let that go, are you?
Pierre: And this one is MINE.
Newton: But… I wanted that one.
Pierre: Let’s help the photographer with this display of how many things we’re thankful that Annabelle sent to us.
Newton: You help. I’m taking this toy before you claim it, too.
Newton: Annabelle, I wanted you to know that so far, this is my favorite thing. It can outlast even my endless energy.
Ashton: OMC, you sent treats! You really know a way to a girl’s heart. I’m not speaking to Newton right now, but these smelled so good I had to come see what was going on. These are SO AMAZING that I even came close to the manpeep to take them. Mr. Jinx must have picked these out just for me.
Pierre: And the head peep wants you to know that appreciates the oven mitts and the lavender hand lotion. Lavender is her favorite smell. She even likes it better than cat poop, can you believe it?
And I wanted to show you that the ornament you sent is on a place of honor on our tree. Newton has already knocked it down and drooled on it, but I have more self control than that. I’m waiting until after dark and I’ll knock it onto the floor tonight!
