If there is one thing Pierre likes more than chasing the red bug, it is shopping! He is quite the thief. He will take just about anything from anywhere.
He has been caught opening drawers to take rubber bands (the plastic family of items ranks high on his list of most wanted items). Here he is “dumpster diving” for some great buried treasure.
We last left our fearless hunter chasing the elusive red bug up the cat tree. It seemed like a perfect strategy. Lets rejoin the hunt…
As Pierre pushed the bug to the top of the tree, what did they both find, but the youngest hunter of the clan, Ashton! It was a big surprise to both Pierre and the bug.
Ashton startled both of them enough to send them back down the tree.
It looks as if The Great Pierre only likes to hunt alone. He has allowed the bug to run free and given hunting time to his younger siblings. A selfish act that has a selfless outcome.
And the bug lived to become prey another day!
Here, our resident bug expert carefully tracks his prey. Pierre silently stalks it until just the right moment.
As the rare red bug passes his location, Pierre pounces. Now the chase is on!
The crafty bug attempts to double back on our fearless hunter, but Pierre doesn’t let those evasive tactics fool him!
Pierre has treed the bug! Could this be the end for such a rare insect or did it just lead our hunter into its own trap?
