Raise Your Paw!

20121129-213224.jpg

Raise your paw if you are ready for nap time! We may have been a few too late for Ashton, but she has the right spirit!

Please, Do Not Disturb!

20121127-215031.jpg

Cousin Nellie has found one of her new houses and has made herself at home. It seems she is able to sleep, undisturbed, by her sometimes annoying brother.

At least, for a time, there is peace between the two of them. Once she comes out, all bets are off!

Remedial Trees

20121126-210314.jpg

Ashton gets the highest marks for not only coming out of hiding, but sitting under the tree! She gets extra credit for looking super cute while sitting there. Hooray Ashton!

Advanced Tree Work

20121125-204456.jpg

Newton let his older brother show off all of the boring stuff about decorating the tree, now it is his turn to highlight his talents.

20121125-204909.jpg

Smell and taste testing are perhaps the most forgotten thing in the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but leave that to Newton. These two pass the test. They can stay on the tree.

20121125-205320.jpg

Next up, finding the most comfortable (yet cute) spot under the tree to elicit the best response from your people. Once you find it, use it often. Check!

20121125-205703.jpg

From said spot, Newton can now do many things. He can use that famous Newton touch…

20121125-205843.jpg

Get a little closer look (and sniff)…

20121125-205957.jpg

Oops! It looks like he found a suspicious ornament! His spot is so great he doesn’t even have to get up to investigate. Inspector N is always on duty!

20121125-210258.jpg

He must thoroughly check this object. What if a ninja cat snuck in and replaced the ornament that Pierre put on yesterday with a perfect duplicate? It happens all the time, somewhere. Maybe.

20121125-210912.jpg

Not convinced of the authenticity of this ornament, Newton decides this one can’t stay on the tree. It’s for the safety of the entire family.
