Tree Trimming 201

20121124-215112.jpg

Now that Pierre has taught you the fundamentals and the tree has the basic ornaments on it, it is time to make the tough decisions.

20121124-215401.jpg

Pierre says you have to get really close and decide what ornaments go together and what needs to go near the top versus the bottom.

20121124-215626.jpg

He also picks carefully what goes on the front versus the “back”. He doesn’t want all of those turkeys and deer and things to think he has a plain tree!

Pierre would also like to point out that you should pick the breakable ornaments before walking through the box!

20121124-220221.jpg

He has been searching for that special ornament and wouldn’t you know it, it was the last place he looked! So his last pro tip is never stop looking, because if you do, it will be one place too early.

Newton asks that you please stop by tomorrow so he can show what he does with the tree. Maybe by then Ashton will have decided the tree is not so scary and come out of the closet.

Tree Trimming 101

20121123-214416.jpg

Today, Pierre is showing everyone how to pick out ornaments for their tree. He says first you survey the contents to make sure you have a good overall idea of the “feel” of your theme.

20121123-214717.jpg

When you find the right ornament, you will know. It will practically sing to you!!!

20121123-214851.jpg

Then, reach in ever so gently and lift it out of its resting place. He wants all kitties to be mindful that unless you are polydactyl, you don’t have opposable thumbs so be super careful with your paws and don’t drop your ornament!

Once the ornament has been placed on the tree, return to step one and repeat!

Pierre asks that you stop back by tomorrow for another lesson on tree trimming. He went all out this year. Thanks!

Styling

Cousin Earl is hanging out in one of the two new houses purchased to try to give his favorite prey (his sister) a place to hide that might be at bit more comfortable than some of her found hiding places. So far, only Cousin Earl has used them.

We Are Thankful For…

20121121-205235.jpg

Each of these kitties have given us joy in our lives.

20121121-205346.jpg

They each came at a special time and each was rescued in a different way.

20121121-205521.jpg

No matter what happened to them before they got to us, they bring friendship and love now.

20121121-205731.jpg

We are thankful on this day, as on every other, that these bundles of fur are part of our lives.

20121121-205944.jpg

And that they chose to continue to show affection toward us is our continued reward.
