It seems Cousin Shepherd has found many uses for the ess scratcher toy. The most commonly seen is the storm shelter look. This way he can monitor Cousin Earl and (hopefully) see a threat coming from a distance.
Being a BIG, beautiful boy has its disadvantages. Cousin Shepherd doesn’t quite fit in to his self-selected storm shelter. If Hurricane Earl decides to swing around and strike from the aft, Shepherd may have to look for safer shelter or fend for himself.
Using the ess to create a privacy wall is quite creative. When turned on its side, the ess offers Shepherd a fort-like area to sit in “private” to watch Cat TV in relative peace. Watching Cat TV is Shepherds #1 favorite thing to do.
