December 15 is National Cat Herders Day. Invented by Wellcat, this holiday, according to their web site:
If you can say that your job, or even your life, is like trying to herd cats, then this day is for you, with our sympathy.
Of course, we herd cats here on this blog every day, so we think every day is National Cat Herders Day.
“Sit in the box for a photo, Newton!”
That didn’t work out quite as planned.
“Hey, Ashton, you love a box. Come pose for us!”
Guess she’s being a diva today.
“You’ll come through for us, Pierre. Sit down and look at the camera.”
“No, at the camera…”
“Kitties? Anykitty? Hello?”
As you can see, we herd cats here all the time!
No mention of National Cat Herders Day would be complete without a shout out to our favorite cat herders of all, the EDS Superbowl commercial from 2000 with cowboys herding cats:

However you herd cats today, we know you’ll do it in style. And if necessary, herd your humans instead. We usually do.

Now that would be a tough job herding cats. Yikes. I don’t think it is possible. But that was sure a fun video. I am very lucky in that we have a Border Collie here and she does herd the cats. Take care and have a great day.

My Human teaches teenagers so she says she herds cats EVERY day. Sigh.

Whenever my husband tries to take pictures of Annie, he says it’s like herding cats. She flat out refuses to cooperate most of the time.
