A New Family Member

The head peep always said her next cat would be special needs. But she really missed having a black cat, and black cats are hard enough to find homes for that she felt like it was time. As it happens, two of the cats who were being fostered with Purrchance to Dream were black cats. It looked like there was a match with Beau!

Beau: Where are we going? Is it my new forever home?

Beau has settled in remarkably well, and he is already enjoying the programming on the big Cat TV.

We’re excited to have him in our family, and we’re so grateful to The Way Home rescue organization for taking in Beau and raising him to be such a well-adjusted young mancat.

Concats on your new family member! And it looks like everyone is getting along great. Beau is so beautiful, isn’t it hard to believe people would pass him by, just because he’s black?

I am so happy that I will be able to keep up with Beau’s adventures! Thank you for adopting him….. I don’t suppose you fancy taking on Dallas too? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mewz family is wonderful for helping a black cat by giving them a home, and I’m sure as time goes on mew will feel the gratitude of Beau. He is a stunning, handsome little mancat, and if he’s anything like most black cats is smart, curious, loving, and funny. My angel sister was a lovely panther who was my family’s pride and joy for nine years, until we sadly lost her to cancer a year ago. We adopted our humans from the same shelter ten years ago when I was a 3 yr old mama cat and she was a year old timid and anxious little babe who had been physically abused as a kitten. It took many years of time, patience, medicine, counsel for her to learn to trust everyone in our family. She suffered from PTSD and panic attacks- as a result of the horror inflicted upon her because some heartless, ignorant, mean human thought she was evil, bad, and dumb! HISSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
She was smart, good, innocent, and so loving despite what one human had done to her. In her honor and memory we will always do what we can to raise awareness about the plight and misinformation/stereotypes surrounding black cats. I salute mew for posting a feature on Beau for it will help others reading this who are not aware of the issue to learn about the discrimination black cats face. Welcome Beau, mew are one lucky mancat!
    BLACK CATS RULE!!

Oh, how neat that you adopted Beau from Mo. We’re so happy for all of you we could do a jig, but Sam would step on our paws and there would be lots of yelling, so we’ll just say, Whoopee! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh Beau! Dad and Mom said their next cat, if I even will allow another one, will be a black panfur…but they know a Tuxie girl who has been languishing at my former shelter…and they may give her a try…she is so sad living there
