Watching for the Weekend

Newton: I heard a long weekend was coming! Can you see it arriving?

Pierre: I don’t think it works that way. But if you want, watch for the weekend over that way. I’m going to watch the birds over here.

Newton_pierre_keep_a_lookout_wmPierre: A bird in the yard is better than a weekend… well, there’s some saying, I think.

I’d rather look at a bird than a weekend too!

We would sooner watch a bird in the garden than look for a weekend that might be full of rain.

We think the saying goes “a bird in the paw…” and of course, we’d just LOVE to test that theory…! Hey, your yard looks soooooo nice. GREEN. WARMZ. *sigh*
