Unauthorized Closed Door

Newton: Come quick!

Pierre: We need you in here. There’s a problem.

Newton: Look! It’s closed!

Pierre: Who authorized this? You know there’s a strict no closed doors rule in my house.

Newton: Do you think I could grow some thumbs so I can open that doorknob?

Pierre: I don’t think it works that way, Newt. You either get thumbs or you don’t.

Pierre: Cover me, I’m going to try to open it.

Newton: What do you want me to cover you with?

Pierre: Never mind. I can’t get this open. We need someone to work the doorknob.

Pierre: Come on. Open it up. I’m not moving until you do.

We hope you convinced your human to open that door for you! Carmine really hates it when a door is closed – he will sit by it and cry and swipe his paws under the door until someone opens it for him. I hardly ever close doors in this house for that reason (unless there’s company over, of course!).

Our sister Tessa claims that if you scratch on that door long enough, it will open. Not by magic, but because some human will come running. They might be screaming about the scratches on the door at the same time, but hey! They might not close the door next time either. Tessa says you’re welcome.

Oh dear! Soth will put his paw under closed doors and make a terrible racket when he thinks they should be open–or he’ll kick at them with his back feet, which is equally loud–and it’s always in the middle of the night when he decides to tackle these closed doors.
