Newton: Some of you who follow the head peep on social media may have heard that she hurt hurt her back last week. (It’s getting better, don’t worry!) Once she got out of denial, she realized she had to do something really nice for us since we weren’t getting as much attention, so she got out the heating pad. Then she turned away for just long enough.

Pierre: Wait a minute! I don’t think she put that there for you, Newton!
Newton: Well she may not have done it for YOU, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t for me.

Newton: Snooze, you lose! And speaking of snoozing, you’ll have to excuse me…

Ha, we have these all over. Older cats love them. Hope you’re feeling better but leave the pads out anyway 😉
MOL! My human is paranoid that heating pads will cause an electrical fire (I have no idea where she got that from… I think she is just afraid of electricity!), so we’ve never had the pleasure of lying on one. My human hopes you feel better soon – Newton, I’m sure, hopes you forget to put the heating pad away when you do!
My assistant’s back goes out once in awhile as well …and I have cuddled up with her on that heating pad thing. It’s pretty amazing.
Oh Newton, we would have grabbed that heating pad too. What a great place to nap, all nice and warm.
We bet that feels really good! Hey, the mom has a heating pad…she needs to get it out for us!
We have a resident heat pad and it’s called Mum’s lap!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
I’m like Hannah and Lucy! Mum’s lap is the best, but you do look cosy there, Newton!
That sure looks warm and cozy!!! But do you really need a heating pad in Florida? You guys would never survive where we live! 😉
I’ve lost my heating pad to the cat, too. In fact, it even stays on his cat tower now–I have it set on one of the ledges and Soth pops up and lets me know when he wants it plugged in. Now that it’s below 20 degrees on a regular basis, that’s happening pretty frequently.
You look very toasty and comfy. I think we’re going to tell Mommy we want one.
we hope the head peep is feeling better soon
enjoy the warms!!
Wow you guys don’t miss a trick! MOL!! Hoping your human is feeling MUCH better! Mom is on facebook (as you know), but doesn’t keep it open all day like many others do, soooooo….we often don’t see much that is going on there.
dood ya got that rite & due knot for get…. bee in poe zessed iz 9 tenthz oh sum kinda law two ~~~~~~~~~ ♥♥♥
Whoa! I hope her back isn’t as bad as TW’s was. She had to manually lift her legs in the out of bed. It’s nearly all better now. Sending healing purrz to the Head Peep but you should keep the heating pad. It didn’t really help TW at all.
Who says that isn’t just the same as a nice, comfy, cozy heated cat bed? Have a nice warm nap!
OH NO A HURT BACK MAKES YOU FEEL BAD ALL OVER. WE ARE SO GLAD THE HEAD PEEPS IS FEELING BETTER. MOM HAS EVENTS W HER BACK EVERY SO OFTEN TOO.
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
I hope you feel better soon. It amazes me how cats can find heat sources. Thank you for the kind words you left for me about the passing of Stinky.
That sounds very comfy and very cozy ! We would love to have one during these rainy cold days ! We hope your mom gets well soon. Purrs
Newton, we’re pretty sure your mom did not mind snuggling with you when she came back to lie down. Tell Mom Julie that we hope her back is better really soon. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Sleeping between the humans makes for a great heating pad. Hope the mom gets feeling better soon.
I bet that feels good Newton! Did you let your human share?
who doesn’t love a warmed up bed??
I somehow missed you hurt your back, I’m sorry both that I missed it and that you hurt it. I hope you are feeling better soon
I can’t blame you for claiming that spot, Newton! Cinco and Manna would have done the same thing. Of course, they would also be arguing about who got to be on the heating pad just like the two of you. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed your heated snooze!
Heating pads are fair game when the human gets up or turns away, especially in the winter. We hope your head peep feels better and maybe gets to use the heating pad for just a bit around Newton’s schedule.
I just LOVE a good heating pad! My mom has a cat-size one that she uses for her freezy feet sometimes…if we don’t take it over first, that is!
My dogs are heating pad addicts. They were really sorry when I had shoulder surgery and made a complete recovery. That meant the heating pads went away!
Hope your back is better really soon.

My people use the heating pad quite a bit, but sadly, I’ve never been on it. They also used to have an electric blanket, but it died. I’m glad you’re getting to enjoy your heating pad and that your mom keeps it out even after her back is all better.
Ha, Ha! That is too funny. Cats really do love to be warm & cozy, don’t they? Oh well, you’ll just have to take a few aspirin & wait for kitty to finish his nap!
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
oooh yeah, heaty surfaces ROCK.
