Newton: Can we talk?

Newton_looks_up_by_tree_sm

Newton: You may not realize it, but we’ve been blogging really steadily for the past few years. The last time we took a single day off was over a year ago. We love coming to your mailbox or blog reader every day, and we are always excited to have you visit, too! But here’s the thing: We’re cats, and we need a lot of sleep, and all of this work isn’t letting us get it. Humans are unruly and generally exhausting, and this supervising to make sure that the head peep gets work done is even more exhausting. Have you ever watched other people work? It wears you right out.

Pierre: What do you want to do about it, Newt?

Newton: We’re going to take weekends off of blogging.

Pierre. What?!

Pierre_looks_intent_sm

Newton: Don’t worry. we aren’t going anywhere. We have exciting plans for things we want to share with you in the weeks and months ahead. You will still be able to read our Topical Thursdays every week, and see what Pierre, Ashton, and I are up to. But mostly me, because I know you really come here to see me.

Pierre: *sighs* It isn’t all about you, Newton.

Newton: That’s what you think! It’s always all about me!

Newton_sits_upright_bed_sm

Pierre: If we aren’t blogging, what are we going to be doing on the weekends now?

Newton: I’m sure you’ll think of something.

Pierre: I’ll think about it while I take this nap.

Pierre_chills_on_unmade_bed_sm

Newton: I think he’s going to do a lot more of that once he figures it out. Have a good weekend, everykitty. We’ll see you on Monday!

LOL! We rarely blog on weekends too, there’s so much napping to do πŸ™‚

Mommy hasn’t found the time to help us blog all week. First it was getting her car all fixed up then now she’s “busy” getting the cat room ready to be painted (after a delay of almost 2 years or was it 3 years?). Excuses excuses!

    Enjoy your weekends off, kitties!

I wish I could take weekends off! But I love the weekend memes I’ve created, so I’m sort of stuck!

When we first were around the CB, we blogged every day, but that didn’t last long. When there’s only one human in the household to do everything and she works full time, there’s just not enough time to keep it up. So we surely do understand. We hope your head human’s weekends are productive…We’ll bet they won’t be relaxing. LOL.

We only blog on Sunday since that’s Ernie’s special day. But we take a couple of days off during the week, too. Hey, a cat’s gotta rest up, right? And we hope you guys get lots of rest.

It can be challenging blogging seven days a week. I’m glad you’re giving the head peep a break with this new schedule!

It’s tough blogging everyday so I don’t blame you…we’ll be waiting to visit with you again come Monday πŸ™‚ (We only blog on the weekends because we participate in memes that don’t require a ton of work.)

Wanna know Momma’s secret? She prepares her posts in advance. MOL She has to or else no telling when she’s get a post up. She has so many photos of us that if she didn’t blog she’d be in big trouble.

Doods we TOTALLY unnerstand. We should have insisted our mom do that this summer, she’s been way too busy at work for us. *sigh* And blogging vs wand toy play? For realz, NO competition!!

That’s understandable. We’re kind of reversed. It’s much easier for us to blog on the weekend than weekdays due to my work. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy your weekend!

We completely understand! It is hard keeping up with blogging every day. We don’t post every day (usually just 3ish times a week), but we try to keep up with our visiting and commenting every day. It is a lot. Taking weekends off sounds like it will do you all some good. Enjoy your time off!

Good for you kitties, says the Human. My Human set a goal on Jan 1 of 2012 to blog every day of that year and not miss a single one, and that’s what we did. But when 2013 rolled around, she started taking LOTS of days off. And thought that was just fine. *I* certainly did not give my purrmission for that, let me tell you. AND, what’s worse, she has gotten SO lazy and stubborn about helping me visit my friends! Honestly, she’s just such a disappointment to me. You gotta keep an eye on these Humans every minute, EVERY MINUTE I tell you!
