Pierre’s Red Dot

Every evening after dinner, Pierre gets up on the coffee table to look in the shell bowl that holds the TV control. He knows there is something else that lives in the bowl.

Pierre: Is it red dot time now? I’m asking nicely!

Pierre: I see you, red dot!

Pierre: It’s so close!

Pierre: How did it get out from under my paw? The red dot is so sneaky.

Does the red dot visit your house, too?

Boodie is the only one here who likes the red dot, so it does not come around very often.

For a little while, Bear went nuts for the red dot … then he’d only chase it once or twice before quitting … now, he comes running when he hears the jingle of the laser pointer, but he doesn’t bother to chase it anymore. I think it frustrates him that he can’t use his fangs and claws on it.

Pierre, you are one smart kitty knowing where the red dot is hiding out among the remotes!

Buster: I have red dot every day at different times. Each time I am in the mood to play chase the red dot I let out a special meow that my humans understand. They obey each time.

Waffles is BEYOND obsessed with the red dot! Ours lives in a drawer and there is no peace after dinner each night until we play.

Pierre! Come on over and play with me! If YOU come, maybe my Mom will get the red dot out of hiding! Love, Cody

Ours has been missing for a while but I’m hopeful it didn’t move out.

I had a red dot but never chased it. I was far more interested looking at where it came from.

Not too often cos I’m rarely in the mood for it. I’ll watch it but I won’t chase it. You almost had it.

You’ve got them trained well, Pierre! Caroline says we have one of those somewhere but we’ve never seen it and don’t believe her.

Great job chasing that red dot, Pierre! It takes quite the kitty to even get that close to catching it. Manna and Dexter like to chase the red dot too – especially Dexter.

I have seen the red dot, and touched it once. It was unfulfilling. But I’m glad you enjoy chasing yours.

The red dot doesn’t visit Parker, but she will sit and wait for her shoelace toy when it’s time to play.
