Newton: What is THIS?

Newton: The head peep was pretty excited to get this for her birthday. Then she said it was for cats, but I don’t see what we would do with it.
Pierre: I think it’s for catching cats.
Newton: She grabs me all the time. Why does she need this?

Newton: Is this what she means when she says dinner is late because she got caught with paperwork?

Here in Florida where it is kitten season all year round, someone is always sending out a plea on social media for a trap, and it has been happening more often in our neighborhood. Now we’ll be able to help.

This humane trap is also insurance in case Ashton gets out while we have upcoming work done on the house. If she does, a humane trap will be the only way to catch her again. Just knowing that it’s on hand helps us rest easier about that.

I think every home should have one of these! We sure could use one right now… there is a male cat who is spraying around our house all the time who needs to be neutered.
Agreed! And I love the fact that it’s personalized like that. SMART!!
That humane trap sounds like a great idea – Mum would go mad if a strange cat started marking on our territory.
That is such a good idea to catch stray or feral cats and just get them fixed to make for fewer kittens.
That’s one gift that keeps on giving, isn’t it?
ps – Looking super handsome as always, Newton!
What a great idea for your mom for her birthday!
Now, that is a great idea! We see a lot of humane traps like that down here because people like to trap the feral cats, spay or neuter them and then let them back out to roam.
that is a great present 🙂 and we like the notice that is attached – mom needs to get something to attach to ours just in case
Our county has laws requiring signage any time you trap. The tag probably doens’t meet the legal requirements, but it’s a start, and she hopes it will keep the trap from wandering off, especially if she loans it out.
Oh, we see lots of those in our backyard from time to time!
What a great idea as a present!
seriously? just when I didn’t think I could like you any more than I do..

That is one seriously wonderful present! Hope you don’t need it for Ashton.
What a great gift idea for your mom! We look forward to hearing about the kitties she rescues with it (and hopefully Ashton is not one of them)!
Don’t let your human practice catching cats on you, Newton!
That was a pawsome gift for your mom! We could’ve used one of those when a cat from a nearby neighborhood was hanging out around our house, and he’d been in a fight and had a head wound. He was skittish and for some reason would not go home; every time I’d see him I’d call his mom. Finally after a couple weeks she got lucky and got here in time to grab him. He’s fine now 🙂
how kind of you to think of your neighbors and having a trap handy to loan out. Hope sweet Ashton doesn’t get out!
I would be excited too if I had one of those, people always ask me for them so I borrow from others, but then worry the whole time. I am sure a lot of kitties will be helped now.
What a very thoughtful gift. We hope it’s very successful!
Whoa! That thing brings back horrible memories for me. See me shaking? I see cats going to jail in that.
I would never want to be in there, but I guess it’s a good thing for kitties who need rescuing.
I haven’t seen one so new and shiny in a long time! May it save many lives.
Thanks for stopping by and giving me first LOL of the day. xox
That’s a pawsome present!!
The Florida Furkids
That’s a fantastic gift. We wish we were able to help trap.
That’s a very good point to having one on hand if your own cat gets out! Hopefully that won’t happen, though.
