Newton has a glorious tail. He also has luxurious armpit hair that waves in the breeze.
His armpit hair is cottony soft, which gives it a tendency to mat, but he absolutely refuses to let anyone brush it. So occasionally, he needs a manscaping. Last week’s manscaping appointment was his first in over two years.
Newton’s girlfriends at the vet were very gentle with him, and they made sure he was not afraid of the sound of the clippers before they started clipping the mats off of his armpits.
They shaved plenty of fur off, but not so much as last time when he ended up with completely bare armpits. This will be much more comfortable for him. And less embarrassing, too!
My human is currently working mats off of Boodie, hoping to avoid any Boodie-scaping!
Our newest addition to the house has long hair. I’ll have to keep an eye on his pits! He doesn’t like being brushed either.

Newton, my mom simply doesn’t care what *I* think when she moons over you and your furblings…she is totally in love with you three! My armpits are equally generous in abundance but so far, my only mats are in my hind quarters near the tail. Mom has to comb them out.
Giulietta has to have some ladyscaping occasionally. She loves to be brushed except on her bum and chest…so the vet techs get to work on her a couple times a year. Newton looks pretty chill. How embarrassing Newton. Boys don’t need to have bare armpits like girls should (I mean like human girls anyway). But at least they didn’t shave them all off. It would be better to let your hoomans brush you out and maybe give you small trimmings once in awhile, no?
