Are you microchipped? I am. Wait, I’m not talking to you with the two legs and the cup of coffee. I’m talking to your cat. I have no idea whether they microchip people, but if they do, it’s a subject for another discussion.
Registered microchips save lives. My grandpeep’s dog has a microchip, and a few years ago, we got a call that he had ended up in a local shelter. Without that microchip, that dog would never have gotten home. While you might secretly wish that happened to the neighbor’s dog every time he scares you, you don’t want it happening to you.
Some people say they can’t afford microchips for their pets. Our local SPCA is sponsoring a Microchip Monday today. Maybe yours is doing something similar, too.
So if you aren’t wearing a microchip, take it from a handsome mancat. They’re in fashion. They’re useful. And you don’t want to be the only cat on the block without one.

Yes, Yes we are, Makes us feel safe.
Kudos for this MicroChipping ROCKS! ae are ALL microshipped here. never be without one.

PS Thanks for the comment, here’s hoping!
None of us are microchipped. When Mommy asked about them some years ago, she was told that the microchip isn’t very effective as the data is kept by different sources, depending on where the pet was microchipped. So even if the pet has a microchip, all that is known is that it has one and the number. No other information to help send it home. Mommy says she’ll ask again to see if things have changed.
We were microchipped by the RSPCA who insisted all cats are done – our vets always check that the microchips are still in the same place when we are unlucky enough to visit as they can move about (or so we’re told).
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We’re all micro chipped here. The woman has even considered getting the children chipped.
Y’know, we aren’t chipped. We wear collars with our names and phone numbers, but we know that isn’t always enough. The mom says she’s gonna get us chipped, but then she never does. We need to have her do that.
That’s nice! All three of us are microchipped.
None of the cats here are microchipped since they are mostly feral cats and strangers cannot get close to them so they will not end up in a shelter. But we do think it is a great idea. Many animals have been saved by them.
We’re all microchipped and believe that this information can’t be talked about enough! It’s a life saver! Purrs….
Newton that is a great PSA!
We aren’t chipped, and now we feel gypped! Mommy needs to do this.
I am microchipped and so is my brofur, and our doggie sisfur was but unfortunately she has a bad reaction to it and it had to be removed surgically. Our vet said it happens less than .5% of the time- leave it to a dog to have an issue with something! We are big supporters of microchips and collars with tags- even for indoor kitties. There have been people we know who’s indoor kitty got outside and was gone. With no tag or microchip the story hasn’t always had a happy ending, although a few were reunited after a lot of grief. Save mewzelf a lot of anxiety and instruct mewz humans to get mew microchipped, it’s worth the minimal one time cost.
If the Human ever gets me back in the PTU and drags me off to the stabby place, THAT’s just what she’ll do. Me, I don’t think I ever wanna see the inside of that PTU again, and I gots the claws.
Wow, that’s an incredibly great price. Three of us (the youngest three) have microchips. All of us also wear collars 24/7 with all our identifying information. Some of our local shelters won’t even check for microchips (though they have the equipment) when an animal is brought in. It is such a crime.
