Pierre: I’m hanging out in the hammock because this weekend is the unofficial end of summer. Humans everywhere are getting ready to pack up their outdoor hammocks for the year and put them away.

But as long as I’m sitting here, no one is going to pack up my hammock. Just try it, hammock-stealers!

That’s what I thought. The hammock-stealers are afraid of me. So let’s peacefully enjoy the long weekend.

What are you doing with your long weekend? Are you hanging out in your hammock, too?

I don’t have a hammock! That is some kind of Very Wrong!
we think your hammock is probably pretty safe….you live in the land of perpetual summer 🙂 we are just hoping here it stays cool enough to keep the windows open
Pierre, humans are so very weird about the “end” of summer. Our mom has traditionally taken the first full week of September as vacation, and you’d be surprised how many places close up tighter than a drum after Labor Day (the Texas gulf coast, for instance!). Well…maybe your mom would. Anyway, hang on to your hammock!
If my hammock came with you, Pierre … I would gladly spend a weekend there. I want to make Bear Cat one of these. Will he use it? Probably not. But at least I can say I tried (again) 🙂
Yep , Must keep an eye on it !
and I’m pretty sure.. you can do with your eyes close as well.
Have a lovely weekend
Mom says that Labor Day was always the end of Summer when she lived in NJ.
We’re glad we can enjoy Summer every day here in Florida!!
The Florida Furkids

There are no human hammocks here–I’m pretty sure Barley would think it was fun to tip me out of it. This hammock looks great, though, so Soth would probably love to have one! I’ll have to start researching some for him 🙂
You sure look comfy and that hammock should not go anywhere!
Pierre you have such a beautiful face. We don’t have a hammock, but I heard my mom is planning on making one for us. Goodluck. A human with butterfingers and no artistic bone planning on being crafty? Goodluck!
You’re right, keep an eye on your hammock and enjoy it for a long time ! Purrs
That is a lovely hammock. I’m sure you will be able to keep using it right through to next summer.
Kitty hammocks can be enjoyed year round!
We’ll be soaking up as many sun puddles as we can find because we know they won’t be as plentiful soon.
With that expression, I wouldn’t touch your hammock either. TW’s old BF used to leave their’s out all winter. TW so wishes she had a copy of the pic he took of Nicky laying on her on that hammock.
OMG THAT FACE!! I LOVE THAT FACE!!!!! I wouldn’t DREAM of taking your hammock (and I am also sooo happy that you didn’t go the route of others and spell it “hammick” THANK YOU!!! hehehe) I wish I had a hammock like yours! xoxo
We love your hammock, why can’t it stay until winter?
I got to play in my people’s hammock this week. Those things are very interesting. Guard it well Pierre.
Well, we helped him cook 2 WHOLE CHICKENS and an 8 POUND chunka pork shoulder on the smoker.
Its a bit strong fer us, but we can enjoy small bitts while he is making his dinners.
That’s right, Pierre. You stay put and they can’t take that hammock from you!
We are having a quiet weekend and trying to stay out from underfoot as our peeps are hanging wallpaper. Did y’all hear that there is Tropical Storm Newton. Not in your area, which is good, but so cool to be named for one of you! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
I think you need to contact the Hammock Protection Agency and see if the HPA can declare your hammock as a national treasure not to be touched
