Irma Brought us Furniture

As most of you know, we are Florida cats, and that means we are impacted by Hurricane Irma. We are in the middle of the state, and we will be fine, but there has been a long period of preparing and waiting. We have enough food and water for both humans and cats for weeks.

Thank you for the emails and notes from some of our readers checking on us! At the time I’m writing this Sunday morning, the rain has started, but the wind hasn’t. Please don’t worry if I don’t have a post-hurricane update available immediately here on the blog, but know that we will all be fine. Meanwhile, we’re just waiting.

One of the features of waiting that the cats are really enjoying is finding the outdoor furniture in their sunroom.

Everyone except Ashton has taken a turn napping on this amazing, new object. Pierre was first.

Newton tried to take a nap on the glider, but he had an audience.

Cupcake found the combination of a new piece of furniture and Newton an irresistible combination. His nap there didn’t last long.

Cupcake took the night shift and seems to have slept there all night. She’ll be sad to see it go back outside after the storm passes.

In fact, by the time you read this, the storm will probably already be past. Good wishes to all of our other friends in the path of the storm. We hope it gave you fun furniture to play on, too.

Hope that you and your kitties say safe, dry, and warm throughout all this. Food enough for kitties and humans for weeks is excellent, though I sure do hope you won’t even have to use it.

That’s some pretty nice furniture kitties – maybe if you say please, mamma will leave it there an extra week after the storm passes? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hurricane Irma is not being very nice to Florida, or up in Georgia, etc. Glad you are okay; let’s hope you keep your electricity. Purring for everyone who is being impacted by this huge storm.

Of course, Pierre was first. When he’s done … then the others are allowed to move in. I love that Cupcake has become Newton’s minion. Just when Pierre was resigned to the orange menace …
To be truthful though, we love all your kitties and love following their adventures … always a must read around here ๐Ÿ™‚
