Ashton: This doesn’t smell like a real bug, but I can still use it to demonstrate the way to kill a real bug.
First you swat the bug to show it who is the boss. Cats are always the boss of bugs.
Then you kick it with as many feet as necessary to really punish it. After all, it’s a bug and it has armor. You may have to knock it around some.
Then you put a big bite on it. If it’s a real bug, you get to taste that buggy goodness. This one doesn’t taste so good, but you get the idea.
Now it’s your turn. Go find a bug at your house and give it a try. Bonus points if you do it in front of your human!

Great tutorial, Ashton! You must be really great at catching real bugs too…Neytiri is a great bug-catcher!
Wow, you caught a Toothbrushius Whappius! We have only HEARD of those.
There has been a frustrating lack of bugs here this season! I hope some show up soon.
Ashton our Mum is cringing at the thought of us catching real live bugs and bringing them inside or even worse giving them to her!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Thanks for the lesson, Ashton. At this time of year, it seems like a lot of bugs wanna come into our house. The other day there was a cricket in the house, but the mom wouldn’t let us play with it and put it back outside. Spoil sport.
Bugs…EWW! They actually haven’t been all that bad around here this year…this morning I thought Mudpie had caught a bug on the living room floor but it was a thread on the throw rug LOL
Daiquiri says there wasn’t nearly enough running around the house in this demonstration to be much fun 🙂
I shall definitely go find one after your skillful assistance!
GOOD JOB OF SHOWING THE ALIEN JUST WHO IS BOSS OF IT
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
I heard you can get bugs at a pet store! I wonder why my mom never gets us any.
Great lesson Ashton! I’m off to go bug hunting now!
Most EXCELLENT form Ashton!!! The beauty of the bug that yous has is that it can be killed over and over and over again!!!
Kisses
Nellie
Ashton that was a great how to!
We get to do that with lizards when they mistakenly decide to visit us indoors.
Although Mom usually gets them before we put the bitey on them.
Great foot action, Newton! We learned a thing or two.
Astrid is our resident bug killer. There is no bug too small or too large that she won’t tackle. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Pierre excellent instructional material for bug killing.
Oh you REALLY hit it on the nail head Ashton. You’re my hero!
Great lesson, Ashton ! Purrs
Great instructions Ashton. Ilike bugs! There are lots of big fat grasshoppers in the field and I catch them and crunch them.
Unfortunately for me but fortunately for the peeps we don’t have vermin here. Bugs neither. I love my electronic bug that scoots across the floor and make sure I punish it.
What? you don’t have to give it what for? My cats are always telling bugs how stupid they are before they give ’em the smack down
Our bug catcher is Doc Watson. He plays around with them for awhile and then either eats them or puts them in the water bowl and drowns them. Silly boy. Mom and Dad don’t seem to mind. They cheer him on when he goes after a bug. Silly hoomans
Thanks for the tips….we took notes.
The Florida Furkids
I get the bonus points…I caught a dragonfly on our boat in front of my human! I didn’t mean to kill it, but I did. Your demonstration is purrty much how it happened except for the initial chase all over the furniture, and then when it futilely tried to escape after I caught it. I didn’t eat it though as some others I tried left a bad taste in my mouth. =^,,^=
