Pierre: Do you have a mother?
I know that we all have mothers, somewhere, but many cats, especially rescue cats like me, don’t know anything about their real mothers. Even if you don’t know your real mother, you might have someone who takes care of you. Someone who feeds you, who wipes your eyes when you get eye boogers, who scoops your litterbox. That person is close enough for this holiday.
So make sure you show your mother — or the person who feeds you — how much you appreciate her. Do you need ideas about how to help her celebrate this special day? Aim that hairball somewhere besides her house slipper for just one day. If you can catch a mouse or maybe a big, juicy spider, bring her breakfast in bed. That will get her day off to a great start.
