Ashton hasn’t exactly been a good sport about taking her antibiotics, and late this week, she went back for a recheck on her skin infection.
Ashton: Do we really have to go in the car again?
I’m just going to pretend that I’m not here and hope it’s a bad dream.
Well, that didn’t work. Why are you looking at me? No looking!
*sigh* Can we just get this over with?
WAIT! When I said just get this over with, I didn’t mean THIS! I feel violated!
The vet says that Ashton’s infection looks better, which is great news.
He also says that she needs about another week of antibiotics, which isn’t great news for anybody.
We got a close-up photo of her infected skin (we’ll spare you that one!) and will compare it with how she looks in a week, and we will use that to decide whether the stress of another vet visit is warranted or not. Thanks for all of your good wishes for her recovery!

Why, it’s just HORRIFYING what they do to us, isn’t it? Sigh. I hope you don’t have to go back there, darling. Maybe you should consider being cooperative about taking the pills?
Oh Ashton, I’m SO sorry you had to go through that.
Looks like you were telling the vet what you thought of the whole thing. Nice job!
We hope everything clears up and those meds will be a distant memory very soon.
Purrs, buddy!
Poor girl. Hope she gets better soon. I feel bad for her.
Poor Ashton, Purrs and paws crossed she does NOT need to return. Sometimes the stress of the PTU, car ride and vet visit is worse than the problem–or certainly exacerbates it.
Ashton, we feels your pain. We got carted off to the v-e-t too the other day.
We is glad to hear that your infection is getting better, but we is sorry that you has to be on antibiotics for a little while longer. Please get well soon, friend.
Purrs and hugs,
Carmine, Milita, and Jewel
We hope your infection clears up quickly so you won’t need to have any more tablets and vet visits Ashton. We will keep purring for you.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Poor Ashton ! We hope for you (and your mom) that you don’t need to return to the vet. Please be a good girl and take your drugs ! Healing purrs
Poor Ashton, we sure hope that stuff clears up really soon so you can quit the medication. We sure send you tons of purrs. Take care.
Well at least that is some progress Ashton. The more you take your meds the quicker that will all be over (learned that one the hard way)!
Oh my goodness Ashton… we sure do hope you get better soon… that is quite the ordeal!
Ashton, Gracie shares your pain. We are just happy that a course of antibiotics will help, of course, we understand too the difficulties of that too. WE hope next week your infection is much better so you will not have to go to the Vet again.
Mr Jinx says he would go for you but he doesn’t think that will be in your best interest.
Oh, Ashton, you poor sweetie! It’s good to hear your tummy looks better. Sorry about antibiotics. We are hoping you don’t need to go back to the vet!
Sending purrrrrrs for one quick week of antibiotics and happy day then happy days. Ashton is such a good patient. His claws are retracted even in a vulnerable position of the vet holding him.
Ashton…I agree with you hiding in the corner. My theory is if you can’t see it, it cannot see you.
I’m glad your infection is better but boooooo on more meds
Hugs madi your bfff
I am glad the vet could see an improvement and hope it continues so you don’t have to go back again.
Oh Ashton! We’re sorry you hadta go to the v-e-t again. That just stinks. We hope the infection clears up so you don’t hafta go again. Maybe if you take those icky meds you won’t hafta go.
Well, we must say that while it was horrible to have to be violated that way, we think it was all good as you got a good report from the vet. Now, all you need to do is to complete the antibiotics course and you won’t have to go back to the vet for a long long time!
There seems ta be a lot of that temperature probe thing goin on lately. We hope yer sking problem goes away soon!
Go get him, Ashton!!! Hissss! Growl!! Back on the stress we’d get better without all those vet histrionics.
Poor Ashton! Hoping you continue to get better and another visit to the V-E-T is not needed.
Poor Ashton!! I am taking prednisonol for my allergies right now and I am taking it like a big boy, you have to do the same! Love, Cody
Oh sweet Ashton, we feel for you for sure. We are so glad that your tummy is looking better and we will be sending big healing purrs your way for your tummy to heal in this next week and that a Vet trip won’t be necessary.
Awww , you poor thing !
Just look how the V-E-T is treating you *sighs*
XOXO
