For today’s Caturday art, we really wanted a watercolor effect, and we started out with this photo of Pierre:
Once we were done staring into his irresistible eyes, we went looking for some help, because we have Photoshop Elements, but didn’t know how to get the watercolor effect we wanted. We ended up following a tutorial we found on YouTube. We ran into a problem in that the tutorial managed to outline objects, while the closeup of Pierre caused the individual hairs of his fur to show up as too many black lines, which looked distracting in our image. So after finishing following the tutorial, we hid the sketch layer tutorial and ended up with just a watercolor-like effect.
Pierre looks a little dreamy in that image, doesn’t he, ladycats?
