Ashton: Can you believe that it was three years ago today that the head peep saw me in the median of the highway and stopped to pick me up? This is what I looked like then.
It’s hard to believe I was ever that small!
I didn’t feel very good at first, but I made friends with the resident cats.Â
And as I felt better, I got even more cute.
These days, I’m living the good life, and the feral world is something on the other side of the glass windows of our house. I’m really grateful to be here, and to be sharing my adventures with you.
Unlike Newton and Pierre, I’ve been blogging my whole life. That makes sharing my gotcha day with all of you extra-special. It’s a chance to thank you for being my friends and reading along. Love and fishes to all of you!

How lucky your family is to have found a beautiful baby like you three years ago. Fate worked its magic to bring your Mom that day to discover and then take you home. I have a former feral mancat fur kid who turns thirteen this year and will celebrate his 11th Gotcha Day with our family. I am so grateful he decided to seek shelter and noms in our yard one snowy winter day, his poor emaciated body so desirous of food he was willing to face his fear and slowly over the next months became used to us. Each day he allowed us to become closer, stand by him as he ate, then lightly pet him, and eventually come inside. He has taught us so much that I have become a vocal advocate to friends and family for the plight of feral cats and do not hesitate to correct and educate those who judge these cats based on the common misconceptions and negative views the media and others often portray and believe about them.
You and your family are pawesome for sharing your lives with others through your blog, as it is not only entertaining but you are helping to educate and show others that homeless and feral kitties DO have worth, deserve respect and our concern, and just like all other kitties– want love, a safe home, and someone to care for them.
