Pierre: The red dot escaped from under the ottoman in the living room, and I’m on the job trying to catch him.
He’s slippery. Every time you think you’ve caught him….
… the red dot somehow gets away again.

Nobody here cares much for that red dot! We know it’s a sham.
We never ever play with the red dot as we’d sooner be outside.
It makes an occasional appearance around here but it leaves pretty quickly when the dogs start chasing the cats chasing the dot!
Purrseidon loves the red dot. I suspect that’s why she is usually so good about looking at the camera.

in our house the red dot loves to run from one end of the house to the other. It moves fast..
it shows up here sometimes but mom worries that we run each other over since we don’t have a lot of open space in our condo

Bear used to chase that blasted dot for hours. Now? Eh. He’ll make one good pounce and quit. He’s a fangs and claws cat so he easily gets bored when he can’t use either. My favorite story is when he was still a kitten and Kitty was alive. He’d chase the flashlight beam frantically for hours. Kitty came out to see what all the commotion was about. She already knew that if you just stayed still and waited, the flashlight would come back again. It was hilarious to watch her pretend not to care until the light was within the range of her paw. No doubt she thought Bear was a fool for chasing it everywhere when all she had to do was sit and wait. Then again, that’s always been the biggest difference between them – Kitty had patience and Bear gets too excited and can’t help himself <3
Don’t give up, you can catch it!
That red dot is a dangerous one. Chasing it has thrown me into a chair or two when we had tile floors.
The red dot is enemy No. 1 in this household. My cats will not rest until they capture that thing.
