Recovering from the Holidaze

We hope that all of you who were celebrating had a great holiday yesterday. We didn’t get to celebrate until evening, but it was worth the wait!

Newton: I — I mean we — got a stuffed cricket that makes exciting cricket noises whenever you move it. Or bite it. Or shake it. Or BITE it.

Newton and the Cricket Toy

I heard the rumor that this was going to be a daytime toy only because it makes noise, so I’m planning to hide it under the sofa. Don’t tell anybody, all right? How else are we going to show our appreciation for the gift at three in the morning?

Newton and the Cricket Toy 02

Pierre: This gift bag is full of the best gift of all… me!

Pierre and the Gift Bag

We heard that the indoor tree is going away tomorrow, so we are going to enjoy that tonight, too. We hope all of you find ways to make holiday mischief, as well. After all, there’s no one saying you can’t be naughty any more. Time to live it up, right?

A stuffed cricket that talks? We have a stuffed bird that chirps and a stuffed mouse that squeaks (that Mommy made Daddy bring home from the US) and what did we do? We won’t even touch them. Hah!

We think that’s a fantastic idea, Newton! Make sure your human knows how much you love your new toy. We won’t tell anyone where you hide it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oooh that cricket toy sounds like FUN! Our momma told us to tell you she uses a Sony NEX-F3 with an 18-85 lens.

It has the fastest shutter speed of almost any DSLR and the sensor is almost full size (it’s a 23.5 mm, if we recall).

When she changes the shutter speed to 1/800 she can catch us mid-leap!

They’re very reasonably priced, and unless you’re planning to get a Nikon D-600 or a Canon 5D, this would be what we recommend. And the price is right, too: under $300.

We always have handles cut off of bags when we are unsupervised. This post and the next one are photos from Christmas, where we wren’t allowed to stay in the bags. We have a handle-less shopping bag on the floor right now… which we are, of course, ignoring.
