This is Newton’s second time needing this particular body part man-scaped. The first time went off without much ado. This time both pits were fairly nappy and he was a little, how shall we say, less cooperative.
The self-lit clippers were super neat, but Newt wasn’t really into them.
Yes, it did take two techs and the V.E.T. to shave one cat’s armpit hair. We are sure once he is done being mad and humiliated, he will be proud of himself.

Poor sweetie, I’m sure it was necessary but no fun! Hopefully he will be over the ordeal soon and feeling freer ๐
Well that did not look like fun at all!
We agree with Chey…that sure did not look like fun at all!! We hope your pits feel better now, Newton.
Haha! Sorry. We can laugh because we have short hair and don’t have to be clipped. ๐
Our human’s angel Chumley LOVED the clippers! He had such long fur that would be matted up badly on his tummy and hind end, and he’d go to the groomer at the vet a few times a year for shaving of those areas. The groomer would tell the mom that he would lie on his back, legs all spread out, for the clipping. Vet clinic staff would stop and stare because none of the other cats she did were like that. But when it came to brushing, well, that was another matter. He had to be restrained, have a cone put on his head so he wouldn’t bite. LOL.
Hannah says ouchie – Lucy laughs cos she’s short haired!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
hmmmm – mancatscaping – interesting….ok, not THAT interesting – we wouldn’t want to try it or anything….
