Amazing!

Newton can’t believe it! A kitty (Cousin Earl) can be naughtier than himself, and that everyone around the blog has been so forthcoming with such great ideas. We will have to give a follow up report to let you know what kind of progress young Earl has made. Thanks everyone!

Acting Out

20130126-183348.jpg

Cousin Earl has never had to stay at home alone without another cat or peep to entertain him. Although he has more toys and things to do than ever before he has been a little destructive.

This door is always closed during the day. There are no animals or peeps on the other side (or food). Until he was on his own, he never touched it. Now, every day he is fixated on trying to get in.

We tried double sided tape (but it wouldn’t stick to the carpet) and, as you can see, aluminum foil didn’t turn out very well. If anyone has any ideas, we would be happy to try them.

Swinging Free

Here in the hammock is where all the cool cats hang out. Pierre has complete control over the toy basket and the floor access to the tree. Besides, he let his pesky little brother use the top box, he didn’t take it.

Getting Settled

Newton is finally finding a comfy spot at the top of the new cat tree. He is staying there mostly so Pierre can’t get to the ever dominant top box. Ah, brotherly love!
